Hydrocodone treatment

by artc on December 1, 2009

have personally have gone to long term hydrocodone treatment. It was not actually called that but it was basically the same thing. The place where I went to long term you had to follow the rules. One rule was that if you used drugs or alcohol you were kicked out without a second chance however you could reapply after 30 days. This rule was in place for the benefit of the other residents trying to overcome addiction in hydrocodone treatment. We would not want anyone using in our presence now would we. Another rule was to attend 90 meetings in 90 days. This sounds like a lot but it really isn’t. Matter of fact I did another 90 in 90. This is about the time I started to notice a change in my life my fears were being removed one by one. I was starting to feel pretty good. We also had to attend group twice a week and have individual therapy once per week. After around 60 days I started going to school. I was scared to death.

I was afraid to go to class my first day. I thought that I was to old being that I was like in my 40’s. I did go and I was uncomfortable but I did get through it. There were many more uncomfortable situations since I started school but they all passed and I did not have to use because of them. When I got my first grades and found out that I was going to be on the dean’s list I knew that I could do it. I am currently going to school now. I am close to getting my bachelors degree in Social Work. This is a huge leap for a dope fiend like me. I have found out that when we get clean we can become the person we only dreamed of. You can do it to give yourself a break and stop using hydrocodone today why not try long term drug rehab .

If long term does not suit you right now  there certainly are plenty of 14 to 21 day hydrocodone treatment rehabs around. One can be medically detoxed from hydrocodone in a very short amount of time I figure five days tops and you can be drug free. This all starts with the decision that your life has become unmanageable and that you want help. This is the first step of getting clean the second step is to continue your recovery in residential treatment. There you will learn the tricks and trades of staying clean when you leave rehab. Enough said take action now before it is to late some people will use until they are beyond the point of no return.
